HR Apprentice

BelkavitzSloan are working as a retained recruitment partner to a world leading commodity trading company. This organisation is a Fortune 500 conglomerate with 13 offices based across 10 countries including HQ based out of London and affiliate companies located across; Africa, Middle East and Europe. As an integrated trading company, material is sourced from a global network of more than 72,000 suppliers across 67 countries and supplied into some of the largest original equipment manufacturers, system integrators and product distributors globally.

An exciting opportunity has become available within this company for an HR Apprentice to join the company's Human Resources and Facilities Department. This position will focus on supporting the HR and Facilities team in providing an efficient and streamlined service to the business whilst adhering to workplace rules, policies and employment law regulations. The role is responsible for completing a variety of administrative duties both independently and under supervision.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to complete the HR Apprenticeship level 3 in HR Support, gaining relevant skills and knowledge within the HR & Facilities department and applying learning in the role.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a young graduate or professional at the preliminary stages of their career with the desire to move forward in an HR function.

SCOPE OF JOB

·Completion of Level 3 Apprenticeship - Human Resources Support

·Gain a good understanding of employment law regulations and to keep up to date with changes in HR rules/processes/employment law and the business

·Support the recruitment process by posting roles on the intranet and internet; schedule interviews ensuring hiring managers have the necessary CV; prepare contracts and offer letters

·Administer new starter processes including reference checks, DBS checks, creation of employee personnel file; oversee the completion of benefit documentation

·Input new starters and leavers into the HR database

·Assist in the company induction process by ensuring information slides and forms are kept up to date; schedule corporate department inductions

·Prepare reference letters; visa invitation letters on request

·Perform yearly visa audit

·Handle day to day queries effectively using interpersonal skills and communicating through various methods

·Assist in maximising the completion rate of performance related forms

·Assist with ad hoc team projects

·Minute taking in HR meetings

·Assist in covering reception

·To be aware of relevant company rules and policies

A-Level or equivalent
