Job Description

We have an opportunity for a pragmatic and proactive HR generalist to join this fascinating business on a 1 year fixed term contract. Ideally with a wide range of HR experience you will deliver efficient and professional operational HR support across the business to people managers and individuals, to enable the business to deliver its business plan through the effective management and development of its employees. Key responsibilities of the role will include (but not be limited to); Build strong working relationships with managers in the business to aid personal understanding of the key business drivers and to identify potential people and development issues at an early stage.Manage recruitment for the NanoAnalysis division. Identify suitable recruitment methods, shortlist and interview candidates, manage communications with candidates.Work with Group HR on implementation of our new HRIS.Produce monthly HR statistics and reports including headcount, labour turnover, absence, recruitment.Analyse and report on relevant HR metrics/other HR management information.Assist the HR Manager with reward benchmarking. Assist in the development of appropriate reward strategies in line with business needs and market data. Manage the implementation and communication of reward initiatives.Undertake project work, e.g. policy development, benchmarking HR practices, training design and delivery, HR metrics etcLiaise with HR function at Group and in the other OI businesses in order to gain the benefits of common, best practice policies and processes.General HR Administration as required The Person Educated to degree level.CIPD Qualified or equivalent formal recognised training/qualificationRounded experience of generalist HR support, coupled with a good appreciation of the needs of a commercial organisation.Experience within a high tech and/or manufacturing company desirable, as is experience of international HR.Sound knowledge of UK employment law.Competent PC/database and reporting skillsA flexible, positive, customer focused approach.Strong communication and relationship management skills.Pro-active, solutions oriented approach to all activities.Excellent organisation skills, with a continuous improvement approach to tasks and processes.Able to take a pragmatic approach to HR, without compromising professional standards.
